Hello, I'm Ami!

I've just moved to London!

To put it very simply, I absolutely LOVE weddings. When I shot my first wedding as a favour for a family member, I was convinced I'd hate it. Completely head over heels out of my comfort zone but I adored every second. Weddings bring me so much joy and I am SO passionate about my job. One of my favourite parts is the connection I build with my couples, I often walk away at the end of the day feeling like we're friends for life. So let's see if we'd be friends...

I'm Crazy about:

  • Cats. All day long. My whole TikTok FYP is cats 99% of the time.
  • Cheeseburger pizza is my JAM. Any other kind of pizza will do though, except pineapple. Or mushrooms. No thanks!
  • I absolutely love to travel. My favourite country I've been to so far is Malta, so underrated but absolutely beautiful.
  • Music wise, my ears are open to pretty much anything, especially Taylor Swift (life long Swiftie over here).
  • Pandas are my all time favourite animal, they're SO cute.
  • Finally, I love to grow things. Gardening is my spare time hobby!

I started photography on a whim when I was 18 and wasn't sure what I really wanted to do with my future. I loved music so much at the time, lived and breathed it so worked my way into photographing live music. I spent 3 years running around music venues across the UK with various music acts having the absolute time of my life. I didn't think photography could get any better to be honest, until I photographed my first wedding. It was like the rush of a gig but all day long. I'd say I've adapted my style of photography from my self taught music photography background of trying to stay hidden to the best of my ability, I'm there but you probably won't notice me most of the day. I'm discrete but I capture the moments in a natural and raw way. My favourite photos are always the fun candid parts of the day followed closely by the couple portraits. I'm a sucker for detail shots too. I know it's been a good day when the couple portraits are calling my name to be edited immediately after I've finished the wedding. Spoiler alert, this happens after every wedding.

There aren't enough words to convey how much we recommend Ami. She is so truly marvellous. She made me feel so at ease and felt like such a natural part of the day. Photos never felt awkward or overly staged and she was so flexible which really mattered when the weather was a tad unpredictable. We loved Ami even before she sent us our photos but now we have them we are head over heels. Our wedding pictures are so exceptionally beautiful in ways that I couldn't have even dreamed of. She caught every single moment and personality. Looking through our photos I can feel the emotions and sounds of the day as if I was still there, and having these photos will allow us to have that for the rest of our lives. She is such an artist and it was such a privilege to have us photograph our wedding and if you are considering Ami then absolutely do it.

We had Ami as our wedding photographer in July 2022 and we were quite simply blown away with the amazing quality of photos that she sent to us. Ami captured all the best moments of the day all while producing incredibly professional and natural photographs. We felt very comforted by the level of communication and detail she went into in the run up to the wedding and on the day she was highly professional and didn’t direct anyone around much, allowing for more natural photos to be taken. The result was some of the most amazing wedding photos we have ever seen and we are so grateful that those photos happened to be of our wedding! We will always be grateful for the amazing photos of our day and the memories we can now look back on.
